Quad Cities Boutique Senior Photography | Meet Taylor

Meet Taylor.
I love this girl and she takes such beautiful pictures but there are a few reasons that I will never forget Taylor’s senior session.

#1 – She is so comfortable in front of the camera that it was more like working with a professional model on an editorial session than doing a senior shoot.  This beauty has gorgeous eyes and was up for anything (leading to the #2 reason I’ll always remember her shoot…)
#2 – We had planned out locations for her session weeks in advance, but Mother Nature and the flooded Mississippi River waters had other plans.  Half of our shoot had to be rerouted and we didn’t find out until that day that the area we would be shooting had recently gone under water.  Did Taylor freak out? No way, we embraced the water and got some amazing shots that we would never have been able to capture without the rain.  Way to be amazing in a time crunch, Taylor!  I absolutely loved having her as a part of our Class of 2018 Moxie model team and can’t wait to see what her future holds.
#3 – Bonus number three is the fact that once we found a new second location, there was a man who was fishing in the floodwaters who was going out of his way to photobomb Taylor’s senior pictures.  I’ve literally never seen anything like it (as in I was laying on the ground shooting at different angles because he just kept popping up in the background looking straight at the camera).  Thanks, Fisher Bob (the name we gave him) for providing some laughs during Taylor’s session!!

Here is a little about what Taylor had to say about her session with Moxie:
“I was going for downtown chic meets outdoorsy boho for my session.  My overall session was very seamless and lots of fun! I felt very comfortable the whole time.  My biggest worry was I didn’t know if I would freeze in front of the camera or know how to pose. I felt very comfortable and it all came naturally when I’m front of the camera.  My favorite part of my senior session was going to all the different locations and wearing the different outfits. It all gave the photos a new vibe.  Downtown was used in an urban and rustic way. Credit Island provided the water and woods to create effortless nature shots.  The most memorable moment of my session was using flood water to create beautiful water pictures.  Karen makes you feel very confident and comfortable in front of the camera. The time goes so quick during your session, it makes you wish it could last forever.  I love Moxie Design because with them you’re free to be your self!”

One piece of advice that Taylor has for other seniors getting their photos taken?
“Don’t think about it so much! It will all come naturally if you let it.”

If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose  “amazing.”

I can’t finish this blog post without a shout out to my hair and makeup geniuses at Haus of Heir boutique salon in Davenport – you guys are amazing!

Thank you for letting us be a part of your senior year, Taylor !!xoxo,

Karen
