Quad City Senior Portraits | Meet Abby

Meet the beautiful Abby.
This future Butler University Freshman was so much fun to work with and is one of those girls who has no idea how beautiful she is.  The day we met up was warm and sunny but a tad windy, which can potentially be a problem for a girl with long hair.   These windy lemons turned immediately into lemonade when I saw how it carried Abby’s hair making her look like a supermodel in a music video.  Towards the end of her session, we were walking around downtown and saw that there was a concert on the plaza, which gave us a beautiful backdrop with all of the lights to get a few unique images with some fun lighting in the background.  We had so much fun with Abby and her awesome mom that I was sad to see the session come to an end.

Here is a little about what Abby had to say about her session with Moxie:
“My goal in the shoot was to have a few looks that were my natural, every day look, and another few looks that were more dressy and fun. I wanted to be myself and have fun in the shoot.   The overall experience was unbelievable. I was very anxious going into the shoot and was even anxious for the first frames. However, I began to feel comfortable because Karen really showed that she cared and wanted me to love my photos.  My biggest fear about the photo shoot was that I was not going to look pretty in the photos. The outcome was quite the opposite. I have received so many positive comments about my photos. Karen really boosted my self esteem when she told me that I was a natural in front of the camera. I felt so special and beautiful by the end of the day.   My favorite part of the experience was having so many different locations and outfits so that I could have different types of photos with looks from everyday to a little more dressy.  The most memorable moment of my session was when I saw my first picture during the shoot. I was stunned at how well it turned out. It definitely boosted my self esteem!  It was an amazing experience was amazing and that I felt comfortable by the end of the session (which is very rare for me to feel comfortable). It is really an individualized day and something I will not forget.  I love Moxie Design because Karen made me feel special.”

One piece of advice that Abby has for other seniors getting their photos taken?  “You are only going to do this once, so you might as well get high quality photos by a great photographer. ”

If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose  “Amazing”

I can’t finish this blog post without a shout out to the hair and makeup geniuses at Haus of Heir boutique salon in Davenport – you guys are amazing!
