Quad Cities Senior Pictures | Meet Ally

Meet Ally.  This Bettendorf senior was so much fun to shoot with!  We started off at her high school and got some wonderful images with a focus on broadcast journalism, which is what Ally will be studying in college.  Ally’s fashion selections were on point from head to toe (I’m still obsessing over her black heels)!!   Here is what this absolutely stunning senior had to say about her session with Moxie:

“I had so much fun with it! I didn’t know if I would be awkward in the photos or not know what to do, but eventually I was so comfortable I was posing on my own and just having fun.   I was worried about looking awkward or ending up with shots I didn’t really like but that ended up not being a problem at all! I loved the outcome and I felt really comfortable once I started taking pictures.  I used some broadcasting equipment because I am interested in studying broadcast journalism in college. I also used my running spikes in a few shots as well because I run track and cross country. Finally, I used my dog for a few pictures because he’s the cutest and it made for a really great photo!  I took photos at Crow Creek park, the stage in my high school, and my basement. Crow Creek park was a good place to be in sunlight and it’s a really pretty area. The park also doubles as my home cross country course, so it served two purposes. The stage at my high school made me feel like I was on TV as a reporter and made for some really great shots behind the curtain.  At one point towards the end of the session, I jokingly made a really sassy pose and immediately laughed. Everyone else loved it, though, and at first I was embarrassed by the photo but now I love it. That’s why I would encourage seniors to try new poses and play around with it; you never know what you’ll like.  It was a really great experience. I’ve always loved looking at other girls’ senior photos and been jealous of all the stunning shots. I’m really excited because now I have my own pictures that I love even more than I thought I would!  I love Moxie Design because I felt really care-free and good about myself during my photo shoot and that’s what I think senior pictures are all about!”

What is one piece of advice you have for other seniors getting their photos taken?
“Have fun with your senior photos and come in with an idea of what you want the end result to look like. Also don’t be afraid to try poses you like even if the photographer doesn’t tell you to.”
If Ally could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, what would it be?
“Empowering”
Thanks for letting us be a part of your senior year, Ally!
xoxo,
Karen
