Quad Cities Senior Photography | Meet Ava

Meet Ava.
This Assumption beauty was such an asset to the Class of 2018 model team and I am so happy that I was able to work with her on her senior photos!  The day of her session is one that I won’t forget.  Driving over to meet up with her, the weather looked cloudy, but didn’t call for rain until after her session time was over after sunset.  After about thirty minutes, the dark clouds started rolling in and my phone was blowing up with calls from my husband urging us to reschedule because a major storm was coming.  We chose to end the session there because it started sounding terrible (lightening and thunder are two things that scare me more than most).  The cool thing was that we got to do two different hair and makeup looks, which turned out to be awesome.  Thank you Ava, for being such a bright light in the world and for representing Moxie – you are amazing!

Here is a little about what Ava had to say about her session with Moxie:
“I never knew how fun taking pictures could be! Karen made me feel very comfortable in front of the camera and it really shows in my pictures.  I tried to go for a different look at every location, which made an amazing variety of pictures.  One of the locations was spontaneously chosen by Karen when we were on our way to our next location. It was a gorgeous red color door in front of a church. She just has a special eye for that kind of stuff!    We had to postpone half of my session because of a terrible storm coming! Karen was very flexible in adding in another half of my session on a different date, so I didn’t have to stress at all. 🙂  My biggest worry was not being photogenic, but having Karen there to help me with poses made me feel much better. The pictures turned out better than I could have imagined.  My favorite part of my Moxie Senior Experience was seeing the final product. I loved sitting down with Karen to look at all of the pictures at the Moxie Premiere Reveal.    The Moxie Design team is so cool to work with. I had so much fun feeling like a model.

One piece of advice that Ava has for other seniors getting their photos taken?  “If you have any questions about locations or outfits, ask Karen! She is such a big help to make the preparation easy.”

If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose  “fun”

Thanks to the rock stars at Haus of Heir boutique salon in Davenport for the awesome hair and makeup!!

Thank you for letting us be a part of your senior year, beautiful girl!!

xoxo,

Karen
