Geneseo Senior Pictures | Meet Emma

Meet Emma.
We met up with this beauty late summer of last year on a gorgeous afternoon.  I was so excited because we had accidentally discovered this beautiful lavender field a few days prior to her session, so I knew that we should use that as one of our locations to capture some flower images!  Emma is absolutely a blast to be around. We talked fashion, art and shared so many laughs throughout the afternoon. I loved that she had her own super cool sense of style with accessories and I was super jazzed that she put on a bold lip color for the last look of the night!

Here is a little about what Emma had to say about her session with Moxie: “It was amazing! Karen was so nice, and the whole time I felt super comfortable even though I was a little nervous at first to be in front of a camera. I loved the lavender field that Karen took us to. I got to take my shoes off! I’ve seen photos of instagram models in a field of flowers, bare footed and looking beautiful and natural, and I got to experience that too! I wanted to capture something that felt like ‘me’! I wanted to look good, and feel comfortable in my clothing. The poses that Karen chose were fun to execute, and I felt like they really helped make my personality shine through. My biggest fear was, to be honest, having photos taken of myself. I really hate photo shoots, and I was expecting to hate this one. Karen kept things very casual and fun though, and I ended up liking almost all of my photos! One of my favorites would have to be one from the lavender field. It made me feel beautiful and impressive, like the main character of a dramatic film or a muse in a music video.  The most memorable part of the session was getting changed in the parking lot. Karen had a pop-up changing room that was as impressive as it was startling to be introduced to!  It was super fun, and the results were gorgeous! It was fun, exciting, and completely worth it. I love Moxie Design because Karen went at my pace and made sure I had fun.”

One piece of advice that Emma has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Chill out. It’s not as big a deal as it feels like. It takes some time, but it’ll be fun and rewarding!”

If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose  “uplifting.”

It was so much fun spending the afternoon with you and your mom, Emma!  Thanks for letting us capture your senior pictures!
xoxo,

Karen
