Meet Cami. This Moxie model is sunshine in human form and we have absolutely loved working with her over the past year. Cami’s first look during her main session was bold and perfect for our downtown setting – this beautiful red dress. We were able to blend that look with some murals, which turned out absolutely perfect. Next up was a timeless jeans and white top look that was the perfect blank canvas to capture Cami’s beautiful smile and gorgeous blue eyes! Then we headed to PVHS to capture a few track shots before traveling to our last spot – a park along the river. Cami had brought some beautiful flowers along that added a lovely pop of color to some of her images. At sunset, the most beautiful sky rolled in and we were able to capture it, with Cami next to and then ending her session in the water – she was such a rockstar with the waves rolling in on top of her – she worked it out like the supermodel that she is! I love every one of her photos and am so grateful that she was a part of our Moxie model team for the Class of 2026. Thank you for being so much fun to work with, girl!!
Here is a little about what Cami had to say about her session with Moxie: “My session with Karen was absolutely flawless. I felt special and beautiful with every shoot we did. Karen’s attention to detail and fun ideas made the whole experience so memorable. I wanted to capture a fun and pretty vibe – my biggest fear was how the photos would come out at the end. The outcome ended up being completely breathtaking every time. My favorite photo is me on the log in my white outfit with my arm on the log. I feel so pretty in it and it just is so me! The most memorable part of my session would have to be trying fun shots like laying in the water or Karen remembering my favorite snacks and drinks to bring. Also signing the changing room! I would tell anyone that working with Moxie is such an amazing opportunity with an even better outcome. The best possible photographer you could choose for the full Senior Photo Experience. I love Moxie Design because Karen and her team always are prepared and ready to make your vision come to life through different shots and poses.”
One piece of advice that Cami has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “My biggest piece of advice is to play around with different poses and styles to see what you will like. Also wear something timeless.”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, Cami would choose “extraordinary.”
Thank you for letting us be a part of your senior year, Cami!! You’re the best!

Meet Paige. Where do I begin with this gorgeous girl? We met up with Paige just as we did with all of our Class of ’26 Moxie models last winter at our prom session at the Blackhawk Hotel. Paige walked in looking straight out the pages of Vogue magazine! Her dress was this beautiful and romantic flowy gown and she knew all of her angles and was so at ease in front of the camera. The first shots that I ever took of her were featured by the designer of her dress – Andrea and Leo Couture!! What an incredible moment!! I was super excited to get her information sheet back about her main session – Paige made it clear that she was looking to capture a bold vibe, accessorizing her looks from head to toe, which I adored. For her main session, we ended the night with her horse at Marbrit Meadows, which Emma and I absolutely loved – we had a blast! We got to meet so many animals and we laughed so hard that I remember my face actually hurt. Working with animals can be hard because they don’t respond as people do to “look over here, chin down, etc.” and we were all jumping, screaming, hollering, clapping our hands in the air to get him to look in the right places – it was a hoot! At sunset, I had brought this hot pink floral swag with me and asked if she would mind taking a few shots covered in flowers. That photo ended up being internationally featured too – Paige just has that X factor and it seems as though every photo I share of her gets republished, which is the biggest compliment ever!! Working with Paige and her awesome mom and sister over the past year has been so much fun and her senior pictures definitely feel more high fashion than high school. We were able to push the editorial vibe of her sessions, which helped her to build a strong modeling portfolio. You are such a wonderful soul, Paige, and I have loved getting to know you!
Here is a little about what Paige had to say about her time with us: “My overall senior photo experience was an absolute blast—one of those days I know I’ll always look back on with a smile. It was fun and full of little moments that turned into unforgettable memories. Between the laughter, the behind-the-scenes craziness, and the creative ideas we brought to life, the whole experience felt bigger than just taking pictures. And when I finally saw the photos… wow. They were amazing—way beyond anything I imagined. Seeing myself captured with that much confidence and personality honestly gave me a whole new boost of self-belief. It even helped me decide to pursue a future in modeling. That shoot didn’t just give me beautiful images—it showed me what I’m capable of. For my photo shoot, I was going for a look that was completely unique and totally outside the box. I didn’t want the typical, cookie-cutter senior photos—I wanted something that felt bold, creative, and unmistakably me. I wanted shots that stood out, the kind that make you stop and look twice because they’re different in the best way. Whether it was the outfits, the locations, or the vibe, I leaned into my own style and pushed for something that wasn’t afraid to break the usual “rules.” My goal was to create photos that didn’t just capture what I looked like, but captured my personality, my vision, and the way I love to do things just a little differently. My biggest worry going into the photo shoot was looking completely awkward—like full-on “what do I do with my hands?” awkward. I had visions of myself standing there with a stiff smile, weird angles, and poses that looked way cooler in my head than they ever would in real life. I was convinced the camera would catch every single moment of me overthinking everything. I could practically see the outtakes already: me blinking mid-shot, tripping over air, or striking a pose that screamed help. But honestly, worrying about looking awkward is normal—and once things actually started, I realized half the fun is laughing at yourself anyway. My favorite part of my entire Moxie Senior experience was working with Karen. She kept me on my toes the whole time—in the best possible way. I never knew what she was going to ask me to do next. One minute I was posing normally, and the next I was standing on a ledge in stiletto boots, trying not to laugh while still looking cute. And then there were the moments with my horse… My mom and sister were behind the scenes making the most ridiculous noises and waving their arms like crazy people just to get the perfect ear-perk or head tilt. It was hilarious, and honestly unforgettable. Karen knew exactly how to bring out natural moments, even if it meant all of us cracking jokes, laughing too hard, or me looking at her like, “Are you kidding me right now?” Those unexpected directions and all the goofy behind-the-scenes antics made the whole experience feel fun, real, and authentically mine. It wasn’t just a photo shoot—it was a memory I’ll be laughing about for years. My favorite photo was actually from a mini session in the snow. It was cold, I couldn’t feel my fingers or my toes, but the photo was flawless. It is hard to choose a favorite but standing with my back to Karen looking over my shoulder was my favorite! The most memorable part of my photo session was definitely at the barn with my horse. There’s something about being in that space, the sunlight streaming in, and the quiet energy of the barn, that made everything feel so special. Working with my horse was a lot of fun—getting the perfect pose, capturing the right expression, and just sharing that moment. It was a little challenging, hilarious at times, and full of little unexpected moments, but that’s exactly what made it unforgettable. Those photos don’t just show me—they show my connection with my horse and the joy of being exactly where I love to be. Oh my gosh, i absolutely loved my Moxie experience—it was truly amazing! From start to finish, it was so much fun and honestly unforgettable. Karen is incredible, and I never knew what she was going to have me do just to get the perfect shot. There were so many laughs, jokes, and “are you kidding me?” moments, but somehow it all came together perfectly. The photos turned out amazing, and the whole experience honestly made me feel confident and like my best self. I wish you could see it all—it was that good! I love Moxie Design because Karen is amazing, fun and extremely talented!”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, what would it be? “Epic”
One piece of advice that Paige has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “To the next seniors getting ready for their photo shoots: trust Karen. Seriously—trust her. She is unbelievably talented and somehow always knows exactly what she’s doing, even when you’re thinking, there’s no way this pose is going to look good. It will. It always does. Let yourself relax, have fun, and just enjoy the experience. Laugh at the awkward moments, lean into the unexpected, and don’t be afraid to try something new. The more fun you have, the more your personality shines through—and that’s what makes the photos truly amazing. You’re in the best hands with Karen, so just go for it and make some unforgettable memories!”
Paige – it has been incredible getting to know you and your awesome family over the last year! Don’t forget about us when you’re walking the runways of Milan and Paris!! xoxo

Meet Paige. We have had an absolute blast getting to work with Paige and her awesome mom over the past year! Paige was a part of the Moxie Model crew, so that means that we got to work with her on many different sessions, which is so much fun! Paige has a smile that lights up her entire face, and I loved being able to capture those looks. When we met up for Paige’s main session, it was a super windy day. We had reached out to Rivermont Collegiate to get permission to shoot around the school grounds, which was incredible. While we were out there, one of the teachers noticed that we were fighting with the wind and asked if we wanted to step inside for a few shots – what an opportunity!! We were able to capture a photo in their main area with Paige and her pointe shoes that has been featured numerous times by high school senior publications and even printed in Dance Szn Magazine! How exciting!! Luckily, after we left that area, we headed to a park, where we were somewhat protected by the trees from the winds. At the end of the session, we were in a creek and I asked Paige how committed she was to getting into the water. She said that she was up for anything and ended up laying down in creek, which made for one of my favorite shots from her gallery! When we were lining up details for our thrift store challenge in August, I remember being so inspired by Paige’s theme – croquet! For the fall session, she brought her Ralph Lauren supermodel inspiration and knocked it out of the park! Paige is such a classic beauty, and is such a joy to be around!
Here is a little about what she had to say about her session with Moxie: “I love Moxie Design because Karen is so welcoming a makes you feel comfortable the whole time! I had an amazing experience! I love all the shoots that I was able to go to throughout the year. It was always something I was looking forward to. I was a little worried about standing awkwardly in front of the camera not knowing what to do but Karen always made me feel comfortable and gave me poses. Moxie Design is definitely the best place to get your senior photos taken! I was going for a classy editorial type of look in my photos and they always turned out perfect. One of my favorite photos is where I’m laying down in the water. The most memorable part of my shoot was when we got to shoot inside Rivermont Collegiate. Even if you don’t know what look you’re going for Karen will help you add an extra touch by adding props to your photos.”
One piece of advice that Paige has for other seniors getting their photos taken? ” For the girls – consider wearing false lashes they always make your look more elevated”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “fun!”
Thank you for being a part of the ’26 Moxie Crew, Paige!! I’ve loved getting to know you over the past year!

Meet Class of 2026 Moxie model Delaney. We met up with this beauty and her awesome mom about a year ago during our editorial prom session. Immediately, it felt like we had all been friends for years! For Delaney’s main session, we started at Orion High School where we got to play around with a fog machine – we had so many laughs trying to time everything just right, but it was so much fun! We were able to capture both of Delaney’s volleyball uniforms, which was awesome, because the black and red both changed the entire look of the photos! For the non sports images, I knew that Delaney wanted to add flowers as an outdoor location. This past spring was a strange one for the spots that we commonly shoot at – the flowers just weren’t growing in the fields as they typically do. I was determined to find a field that would work so I started driving around town, scouting locations. I stumbled accidentally upon this area of yellow flowers that was perfect! I asked Delaney and her mom to trust me – and they did, which led to some absolutely incredible photos. The funny thing about this field is that a girl I was working with the week after Delaney’s session had been watching our behind the scenes videos that we put up on our Instagram story – and after seeing Delaney’s BTS, she requested to shoot at that particular spot. When we arrived – just a few days later – the field was COMPLETELY gone! It had been leveled completely to prepare for a structure to be built and was now a huge area of dirt/mud. Delaney and I completely lucked out in the timing of her session to be at the exact right time to capture the gorgeousness of these flowers – and they are some of my faves from her gallery! Fast forward to the end of the night when we were in the river at sunset – we could see a storm rolling in from the west, which was partly terrifying, but also made for the most beautiful sky. Delaney was such a trooper – she was always willing to try any suggestion I had and her final images are STUNNING!
Here is a little about what Delaney had to say about her session with Moxie: “My senior photo experience with Moxie was TOTALLY AMAZING!!! I wanted all the looks! 🙂 Karen knew I loved flowers and she did everything to find the prettiest flowers. I’ve seen all of the beautiful and amazing photos Karen has taken and I was worried if mine could equal them. And of course worried about weather – either melting in the heat or a storm coming in. My worry became true and the storm coming in made for the greatest clouds and sky! Love those pics! I loved how Karen got to know me even before we had our first shoot! She made me feel so comfortable and gave me confidence on the other side of her camera. I was nervous and those feelings were completely gone in the first 5 minutes with her. Karen also wanted to make sure she knew the style of pics I wanted captured and also had several ideas of her own that were amazing. Karen & Madeline are a dynamic duo – I love how many laughs we shared. Madeline and the spiders and flying bugs we encountered on my shoot made for great laughs and smiles! My favorite shots are all of the pics in the yellow flowers! Looks like we were in a huge flower field. The most memorable part of my session was how Karen made me feel – I felt so comfortable. I felt like I’ve known Karen for a long time and could chat about anything. Definitely use Moxie Design, you will be so happy you did! And if you can be part of the Moxie model team, you will absolutely love it! I love Moxie Design because Karen makes me feel confident.”
One piece of advice that she has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Wear the hats, the accessories, and do every idea that Karen has! Karen’s vision is like no other! I’m so happy I did!” LOVE this advice, Delaney!!
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, Delaney would choose “memorable.”
Thank you for being so awesome to work with, Delaney and Brigitte!! I have loved getting to know you and am so happy to call you both friends! I can’t wait to see what your awesome future holds!

Meet Jameson. This handsome Geneseo high school senior and I met up about a year ago for our prom shoot, during our first session with our Moxie model team. Jameson looked like he had stepped off of the pages of a magazine in his tux! We had so much fun working with him over the past year – and I have to give a huge shout out to Jameson and his mom Katie for being so understanding when we had to reschedule his session multiple times because of the heat, and then a violent thunderstorm. They were always prepared for each session with awesome outfits and fun ideas – and Katie even took some behind the scenes photos and videos for us, which is super appreciated! The final session, when we were able to travel to his family’s property was the perfect sunset – and we were able to capture Jameson with his truck on a gravel road, and those photos turned out to be some of my favorites from the entire year! When fall photos came around, the weather was chilly, but Jameson didn’t hesitate when I suggested walking out into the middle of the Rock River to capture yet another amazing sunset.
Here is a little about what Jameson had to say about his session with Moxie: “Working with Karen was very laid back and so much fun. I wasn’t sure what I was looking for going into this, but Karen got to know me and found ways to really pull my personality out through each photo. My recurring fear every photoshoot was me procrastinating on making my outfit. Honestly, it was nothing to stress about. Just plan in advance and listen to Karen and your mom’s suggestions. Take back-ups and be open-minded. It will all work out. I love the way I get to look back on these photos and remember how much I have grown and matured through my senior year. Karen captured so many different sides of my personality and interests, and I love that each picture has a completely unique feel that really shows all different aspects that make me “me.” Every new photo released immediately became my new favorite. How can I decide?! Taking in the beautiful sunset views from the middle of the Rock River was definitely memorable. You would never guess how very cold it was that afternoon looking back on those pictures. Actually, all of my outdoor sessions (Moxie Models get a few extras) had some crazy weather. Karen was great about being prepared for the weather and rescheduling when the weather got unsafe. If I were to tell my best friend about Moxie, I would say to try it out because it is a fun memorable experience that will have you laughing the entire time. I love Moxie Design because Karen, Maddie and Matt did a fantastic job creating a fun, relaxing experience from start to finish, and the final images were better than I could have ever asked for!
One piece of advice that Jameson has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “My two cents are: Be as natural as you can be! It will all fall into place in time, so there is no need to stress. It’s your moment!”
If he could describe his overall senior session experience in one word, he would choose “Exciting.”
Thank you for letting us be a part of your senior year, and for being an awesome part of the Moxie crew, Jameson!! We have loved getting to know you over the past year!!

Meet the lovely Abby. We met up with this PV beauty on a hot summer day last June. We started her shoot at the football field so that we could capture some cheer photos, which turned out stunning! Next we headed to downtown LeClaire, which always offers a variety of backdrops – and they were perfect for Abby’s looks! When reading her information sheet prior to her session, I saw that Abby was wanting a flower field, but the wildflowers were not sprouting up as they typically had in the past. I checked out a new location that was given to me by a friend and although it was a bit of a hike to get there, once you arrived at the top of the hill, the wildflowers were abundant and there were huge open skies – a perfect spot to capture an outdoor, wildflower vibe! I knew that Abby had wanted to include some books to showcase her love for reading, so we loaded them up in a wagon and headed out on our trek to the flower field. The mosquitoes and gnats were thick, but we brought along a fan and multiple bug sprays, which helped to keep them at bay. I absolutely loved getting to know Abby and her awesome mom, Kathryn, during our time together. Abby is such a joy to be around and knocked her session out of the park!
Here is a little about what Abby had to say about her session with Moxie: “My senior session was amazing! Karen was patient, kind, and detail oriented. She made me feel comfortable and was so creative with the shots and poses she chose. I wanted to showcase my personality and interests in my photos. Having the right pose for each shot was my biggest fear, but Karen made me laugh and feel comfortable which made finding the right pose easy. My favorite part of the shoot was the variety of locations we used. I love the photos in the flower field! The lighting was great and the flowers were beautiful. The most memorable part of my session was walking through the woods to the flower field. It was buggy and hot but the pictures were amazing. My session was a great experience! Karen takes her time with each shot and has a great eye for locations that will photograph well. I love Moxie Design because working with Karen was so much fun!”
One piece of advice that Abby has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Take the time to capture a variety of locations and outfits that showcase your personality and interests. <– Awesome advice, Abby!!
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “amazing.”

Meet Kenzie. I was so super excited to work with Kenzie because her older sister, Adrianna had been on our model team, so I already knew that I absolutely loved working with her family and that we were going to have a blast!! Kenzie is one of those girls, who once she steps in front of my camera, literally becomes a fashion superstar model. She knows her angles, she is so stunning and she has rocked every single shoot that we have done over the past year. Kenzie’s looks were always incredible – I’m still fangirling over her thrift store challenge outfit!! For Kenzie’s main session, she had the perfect amount of variety in her choices – a beautiful white dress that we paired perfectly with the creek and a waterfall area, an adorable white top/denim shorts look that was great for some flowered areas, a blue floral dress – WOW! That look was so amazing! We captured it with some fun flowers from the Moxie style closet along with a mirror for a few reflection shots. She chose a timeless black dress for her downtown shots along with a perfect pink corset top with jeans. Whenever we are together, we laugh so much that it’s like hanging out with someone we’ve been friends with forever. Kenz, thank you for being such an amazing person!! We have loved getting to know you!
Here is a little about what Kenzie had to say about her session with Moxie: “My senior photo experience was honestly the best I could’ve dreamed of. Karen made everything go so smoothly and I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. All of my photos came out just as I had imagined! I wanted to go for a modern but also representative vibe. All of my outfits and locations were a reflection of my personality but also what I wanted it to look like. My Pinterest board really gave me inspiration for locations and photo types but outfits came from personal choices. My biggest fear was 100% the heat or weather ruining my shoot. That be said, I got so unlucky and had to reschedule my shoot but Karen made it the easiest process ever. Karen helped me with rescheduling and making my shoot the best! My favorite part was getting all of my pictures back after shoots. My senior reveal session was amazing and I was so happy to see all the pictures. I also loved when all the minis came out, I was always so excited to check my dropbox and get the apps! I think the most memorable part of my session was all the time we spent laughing. The environment made me feel so comfortable and I felt understood during my pictures. I think that makes a huge difference in how they turn out because if your uncomfortable it’s very visible. I would tell anyone who is going to be a senior that they need book with Moxie 100%. Karen is such an amazing photographer and the whole team makes the entire experience amazing. I would tell them that no matter what, it is more than worth it. Karen and the Moxie team make the experience more amazing than anything I’ve ever done.”
One piece of advice that Kenzie has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Don’t be afraid to try things you wouldn’t normally try. Whether it’s a different pose or face, try it. I am not a “model face” type of girl but some of those model face pictures are literally amazing.”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “Phenomenal, magical, breathtaking, remarkable, transformative.” I LOVED that you couldn’t choose just one word, Kenz!!
You are a rockstar, girl! I SO loved having you as a part of our Moxie model crew!!
xoxo, Karen

Meet Kamryn. This stunning Orion senior and #moxiemodel and I have been able to work with each other quite a few times over the past year – and it has been so wonderful getting to know her and her awesome mom! During Kamryn’s main session, we started off at the gym to capture her basketball photos and I was absolutely blown away. We experimented with a basketball net, making it a necklace and shooting through it to frame Kamryn perfectly. After that, we headed to a super cool and unique location that offered so many different backdrops. There was a pond, a huge open field, wildflowers, a lovely barn and a really cool wall with multiple vintage doors, that turned out to be a great set for Kamryn’s photoshoot. While we were there, I had Kamryn leaning up against a railing and I went to show her exactly what I wanted her to do with her hands for the photo and I jumped and screamed because there was a toad on the railing and I almost brushed up against it. I’m not afraid of toads or frogs, but it was so unexpected!! We all started laughing and it made for a really fun memory (and great picture of Kamryn)! We ended the night at a park where we were able to capture some shots at sunset in the Mississippi River, capturing a beautiful sunset.
Here is a little about what Kamryn had to say about her session with Moxie: “Working with Moxie Design was a really fun experience! Karen and her team make it a very memorable and enjoyable experience. For my pictures, I was going for a very natural look outside with great sunsets. I also wanted to focus on my basketball pictures in my school gym. My biggest fear was stepping out of my comfort zone and doing a bunch of different poses I was unsure of. Karen and her team made it so I felt like a natural during the whole shoot. I loved being able to try new looks and it was just an overall fun experience to be able to get my picture taken in a bunch of different types of scenery and all different sessions. The most memorable part of the session was trying on all the different prom dresses with my friend for the first session in being a part of the model team. Karen gets you to try new things and it’s a wonderful experience to step out of your comfort zone. She makes it easy to be comfortable with something you usually wouldn’t do. I love Moxie design because Karen was fun to work with and I loved all the pictures!”
One piece of advice that Kamryn has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Do all the poses and pictures that you don’t think you’ll like because those usually turn out to be your favorite. “
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “memorable.”
Thank you for letting us be a part of your senior year, Kamryn!!

Meet Molly. We have really enjoyed working with this gorgeous Moxie girl and her amazing family over the past year. The first shoot that we worked on together was the prom session at the Blackhawk Hotel and Molly arrived looking like she had just stepped off of a Hollywood red carpet – absolute perfection! When we met up for her main session, we started off at PVHS for cheer photos on a beautiful and warm sunny day. Literally four snaps into her first look, a crazy thunderstorm came out of nowhere and we had to reschedule for another day. Leading up to her new date, we created a personalized route to make sure that we captured all of the spots she wanted to include in her photos, including a very random patch of orange flowers that I stumbled upon (and wouldn’t have seen during our first session had we not been rained out). Molly trusted my direction and her photos turned out absolutely stunning! At sunset, we had planned to get into the river about ankle deep to get to a huge tree trunk – but as we know as outdoor photographers, Mother Nature does some crazy things and the water we were wading in was higher than waist deep in spots! Molly continued out to the tree, Madeline and I had on our hip waders, so while we didn’t get wet, we were making sure we didn’t fall into the water and ruin any equipment – it was a hilarious moment – people were stopping along the bikepath to take photos and ask what we were doing!! The result of that trek into the river are some of my favorite shots that we captured!
Here is a little about what Molly had to say about her session with Moxie: “My overall senior session experience was amazing. Karen and Madeline made me feel so comfortable with trying new poses and looks. Karen really has an eye for what will look the best, not only for the photo but also for the person being photographed. I was going for all types of looks in my shoot. I wanted the urban and city feel, but I also wanted to be surrounded by flowers and the river. Each location perfectly matched what I was going for, and I loved the variety of the shoot. My biggest concern for the photo shoot was that most of the pictures would look too similar for my liking. This was not the case, though. In every picture, it captured a different angle, even if I was in the same outfit. The variety I saw when I received my pictures is something that made me enjoy the whole process even more. My favorite part of my senior Moxie experience was how much fun I had the day we shot it. The weather was perfect, and Karen made me feel like one of a kind when taking my photos. I also loved how many outfit and location choices I had, and with those we included flowers, which really added to the end result. It’s hard to pick any favorite photos because I love them all, but if I had to choose, I’d say the urban looks in downtown Moline or any of the photos with the river. I love the look and feel of being in a city, and it was definitely captured in that location. The river ones looked so surreal, and I loved the outfit I had on in those photos as well. The most memorable part of my session was getting to experience all of the different styles of photos I was able to take. I enjoyed how I was able to create different looks while still being in the same outfit and at the same location. Shooting with Moxie is tons of fun, and Karen is definitely the photographer to go to if you want tons of variety in your shoot, while also creating a comfortable environment. The option to take photos in your sports uniform was also a fun idea. Karen really caters to what you want in your senior session, and makes it come to life. My piece of advice that I have for other seniors is to just trust the process. Sometimes the photos that feel the most awkward are the ones that turn out the best! I love Moxie Design because of how enjoyable my senior shoot was along with the amazing Moxie Design team!”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “personality.” <– LOVE this one, Molly!
Thank you for being an awesome part of the Class of 2026 Moxie model team! We have loved working with you and your amazing family!! xoxo, Karen

Meet Landry. I have loved having this handsome Geneseo senior on our Moxie model team over the past year!! If you follow us on Instagram, then you may notice Landry from one of our many behind the scene impromptu dance parties during his sessions. While it isn’t uncommon for some hilarious shenanigans to happen during a shoot, since my girl Madeline is Landry’s sister, the laughter didn’t stop throughout any of our time spent together #sportsbike – LOL He has been such a great sport in taking part in all of the Moxie events throughout the year – his thrift store challenge look was INCREDIBLE – very Bruce Springsteen “Born in the USA” vibes and he’s always willing to help me push the editorial envelope so to speak. When we met up for his session, it was a really hot day and ten minutes in, we were all sweating in the bright sun. Did that get Landry down? Not even for one minute. We finished up with the tennis shots at GHS and then headed downtown to capture both an urban and modern vibe. We ended the night on the top of a parking garage and the winds were really picking up. We had a ton of pages of sheet music that we were going to throw into the air to capture a fun image and it was hilarious. I’m talking to Madeline and Kristi (Landry’s awesome mom) and screaming “I, 2, 3… for them to launch the papers, then try to capture the shot and then instantly we all started running around the parking garage chasing the music that was flying in the air – love that memory!! Landry, I cannot wait to follow your story and see what your amazing future holds!!
Here is a little about what Landry had to say about his session with Moxie: “My overall experience with my senior photo session was amazing! Karen was very helpful throughout the whole experience. If I had an outfit picked out, she knew the exact spot to shoot at! I was going for a more natural look with an added touch of my interests, such as my French horn, my car, and tennis. Karen was able to accommodate all of these! I wasn’t fearful or worried at all about any of my photos. This is because Karen had taken my two older siblings’ photos before mine, and I got to see the outcome of theirs. I did not doubt in my mind that Karen was, and is, an incredible photographer! The most memorable part of my session was when we had to run all across the top of a parking garage to ensure that we didn’t lose any sheet music. Karen is the most amazing photographer ever! She accommodates everything to your needs, and she makes the shoot fun. Sometimes, you might even get to have a little dance party with her! Moxie Design is a wonderful place to get your senior pictures taken because Karen is the most involved photographer that you can find. One piece of advice I have for other seniors getting their photos taken is to be helpful and involved. What I mean by this is, don’t rely on your mom to do everything for you. Your mom can aid in communication with Karen, but you need to find what outfits you want to wear because your mom doesn’t know what you want to wear. Also, location, location, location. Location is everything. You need to find the best location that goes with the outfit you are wearing. To do this, go back through and look at Karen’s posts from past seniors, and you will be able to find what works best. I love Moxie Design because both Karen and Madeline made the process easy and relaxed, and everything was always in order.”
If he could describe his overall senior session experience in one word, he would choose “Memorable.”
Thank you for being so awesome, Landry!! It’s been a blast working with you over the past year!

Working with Mallory this past year has been so awesome! When we met our model team at The Blackhawk Hotel for the first time last winter, I remember seeing Mallory in this gorgeous blue dress and when she smiled, her face absolutely lit up. Mallory is absolutely stunning, but she’s just as beautiful on the inside. We have laughed together so many times during our shoots together she feels like a friend. On the information sheet questionnaire that she filled out prior to her session, I saw that she wanted to take photos in and around water – so I posed the question of if she was looking for a stream or more like an open water feel. Mallory was not only open to both options but she embraced checking out a new location with us, walking down a rock path and literally into the middle of the Mississippi River. While we were in the water, we could see this storm system rolling in from the west and it was absolutely stunning – the sky was so perfect! Another memorable part of Mallory’s session is that she brought a framed photo along from when she was little and we were able to incorporate that into her session, which was super special.
Here is a little about what Mallory had to say about her session with Moxie: “My experience on the Moxie model team was AMAZING!! For my main session, I was going for a casual look that showcased the real me. My biggest worry was about branching out of my comfort zone and giving Karen full creative freedom. I’m so glad I truly trusted her, it was the best decision!! My favorite part of my time with Moxie was getting to know the models, Karen, and Karen’s assistants! They are all such we people and I’m so thankful I got to spend time with them! The most memorable part of my session was the storm rolling it at the end of it because it makes the sky almost look unreal. Working with Karen is a very calm, welcoming, and fun environment! And you will NEVER be disappointed in your photos! I love Moxie Design because Karen truly cares so much about everyone she’s photographing to make sure they are comfortable and have the best outcome of their photos!”
One piece of advice that Mallory has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Embrace every idea Karen brings up, there’s truly a method to her madness!”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “exhilarating.”
I have loved getting to know you this past year, Mallory! Thank you so much for being a part of our model squad!! xoxo,

Meet Will. We met up with this handsome Pleasant Valley senior in September and had an absolute blast with him and his awesome mom. We kicked things off with a formal look and within the first few snaps of the camera I knew that Will was going to blow his session out of the water. Some people have a natural ability in front of the camera, which makes capturing the standard and traditional photos a snap, which gives us more time to create some editorial and artistic magic. Will had the MOST AMAZING outfits – I love every one of them and how much variety they gave to his final gallery. Whatever crazy idea I had, Will was up for without even hesitating. During the wardrobe consult prior to his session, I was super excited about this pair of jeans that he had with bears on them. I wanted to pair those at dusk with the colored lights of the skybridge. I did my research, found out what time they turn on the lights, and was super excited for this backdrop. When the lights didn’t go on as planned, we did a little research to try to find out what was going on and were told that the city turned the lights off to not interfere with a bird migration pattern – that has NEVER happened during a session before! While walking back to the car, we stumbled upon a building that had some pretty awesome lighting and stopped to create some photos that turned out to be some of my favorites – what a happy accident! Will, you are a rockstar!
Here is a little about what Will had to say about his session with Moxie: “My overall photo session with Moxie was amazing. I was going for a look that would be unique to my personality. Before the shoot, I was afraid my pictures could turn out too cookie cutter. I have tons of wonderful and unique images that are perfect for me. My favorite part of my senior session was Karen’s enthusiasm for out of the box thinking. Everything was not only allowed but totally embraced. The most memorable part of the session was when Karen took the news about bird migration and created world class photos anyway. Working with Karen is a life changing and uplifting experience. It feels like a beautiful bow on top of childhood in preparation for adulthood. I love Moxie Design because every step of the process is seamless and perfect. It shows in the final outcome.”
One piece of advice that Will has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Listen to all of Karen’s advice and do not be afraid of out of the box thinking. Water on the drum and legs up the wall were so fun and memorable.”
If he could describe his overall senior session experience in one word, he would choose “motivating.”
Thank you for letting us be a part of your senior year, Will!! Madeline and I truly loved getting to know you and having so much fun during your session! I can’t wait to see what your awesome future holds!

Meet Anna. This Pleasant Valley beauty met up with Madeline and I last fall and we had so much fun during her session! I love when my sessions bring me to get to know wonderful people! During Anna’s session, we got to hang out with her mom, aunt and sister and we shared so many laughs – it was like we all had been friends for years. Anna’s locations were awesome and we were able to capture so much variety in her session – a creek and country spot, an urban area and then we ended the night on a golf course, which had sentimental meaning to Anna and her family, which is so special! One of her first teaser photos was published in Senior Szn Magazine – so exciting!!
Here is a little about what Anna had to say about her session with Moxie: “My photo sesh was WAY more fun than i thought it was going to be. I was nervous about formal pics but it ended up being a good time with lots of laughs. I was looking for natural shots with nature but I ended up really liking the city vibes as well that were recommended by Karen. I was worried it was going to be like going to a photo studio and fake smiling. It wasn’t like that at all. The different locations were cool and Karen made me feel so at ease. Karen and Madeline made it so easy, told me how to pose when I’m not naturally into that. We laughed a lot. She got some good shots with my dogs (which really weren’t well behaved) which made my day. The most memorable part of my session was that I had some of my senior pics taken on the golf course that I learned to play on when I was young. Just book your session with Moxie. The photos turned out SO good and it was a really fun experience. I love Moxie Design because they made me feel so comfortable.”
One piece of advice that she has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Trust Karen’s opinions! I had such a great time with her. So great that my sister is having her pics done with Karen for class of 2026.”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “surprising!”

Meet Chloe. We met up with Chloe and her awesome mom, Katie, last summer and I was so excited for her shoot! I had worked with her sister a couple of years ago and so I knew we were going to have a blast during her sesh. Chloe is absolutely stunning – she has the most beautiful eyes and a smile that can light up any room she walks into. On top of being a supermodel, she is the sweetest! We met up at the most beautiful park setting and accidentally stumbled upon some sunflowers, where we took her first test shots of the day. I remember my mouth dropping to the floor – the first photo we took of her was absolute perfection! After meandering through a ton of beautiful park spots, we were able to get into the river for some really gorgeous sunset photos and then ended the night at PV on the football field to capture some cheer shots! Fun fact – Chloe’s teaser photo that I put up from the sunset location was published in the fall edition of Senior Szn Magazine!! So awesome!!
Here is a little about what Chloe had to say about her session with Moxie: “Working with Moxie for my senior session was an amazing experience. The entire time Karen made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera which helped me relax and have fun. I was going for a nature, earthy look that included water and a pretty sunset, with things that incorporated me, my styles, and my passions. I was very worried that I would be uncomfortable during my session, as soon as we got to our first location Karen was so welcoming. The entire time she was energetic and the best hype woman. My favorite part of my session was actually getting in the river at sunset to shoot some pics. We laughed the whole time and the sun set perfectly over the river which was the perfect background for an amazing outcome. My favorite photo from the session would be the ones where I was laying on my back and Karen shot from over me. The way my eyes and hair highlights pop in each of the photos was astonishing. The most memorable part of my session was connection and friendship with Karen. She always knew what you needed, when you needed it. She truly had an interest in getting to know me by asking questions about my life and bringing my favorite snacks. I am SO happy that I chose Moxie Design for my senior photos and recommend this to anyone looking for a memorable experience. Karen is the best! I love Moxie Design because they are the best around!”
One piece of advice that Chloe has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Step outside your comfort zone, embrace every moment, and have fun!”

Meet Fiona. We met up with this stunning Bettendorf senior last fall and I was so excited because Fiona wanted a unique photo experience – she wanted to incorporate an arcade and a cemetery in her locations, which I was really excited about because it would allow me to be a bit more creative than in our typical park/downtown settings. We immediately clicked with Fiona and her awesome mom, Sheila, when we kicked things off at the arcade. The staff at QC Entertainment was so incredible to work with – they even let us get inside of the life size bear claw machine! We got some really awesome stuff there before heading to our next spot – where the focus here was some graffiti! Fiona had brought along a beautiful dress and I wanted to get some classic beauty shots, so we were able to capture those at one of my favorite spots, the Axis hotel. We ended the night at sunset at the most beautiful cemetery, where we were able to overlook the entire QC. While we were there, we saw the most beautiful caterpillar! Of course, we had to take a quick break to say hi to our new little friend – it was really awesome. We had so much fun and shared so many laughs – it was a wonderful shoot!
Here is a little about what Fiona had to say about her session with Moxie: “My senior photo session experience was amazing and so much fun! I was going for a beautiful and badass feel for my photos. My favorite part of the session was everything – it was all really fun! The most memorable part of my session was the caterpillar that we found. Working with Moxie was really fun, you should totally check it out! I love Moxie Design because Karen gave me my favorite snacks before the shoot so I was less nervous!”

Meet Jules. This Cambridge beauty was one of the models on our Class of 2025 Moxie crew so we have had the opportunity to work with her a couple of times over the past year! When I found out that Jules was wanting to incorporate a flower field in her session, I was so excited as I had just accidentally ran across the most gorgeous yellow flower field in the most random of places. I was so grateful that Jules and her awesome mom, Tonya trusted me on locations because her shots there turned out absolutely stunning! We were able to capture a bunch of spots with a nature feel and ended her shoot down along the river at sunset!
Here is a little about what Jules had to say about her session with Moxie: “My session was amazing! I’m not super comfortable in front of the camera but Karen and Madeline made me feel confident and relaxed. They had so many fun locations planned for me. My favorite part of working with Moxie was how Karen and Madeline made the entire experience fun. My favorite photo is on the pier at the river. I love how Karen captured how I feel. Working with Moxie is a great experience.
One piece of advice that Jules has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Take Karen’s expert advice on wardrobe and location. She will make it perfect.”

Meet Avery. This stunning Moline senior met up with Madeline and I last fall for her session. We started downtown where we captured an urban vibe at a few different spots and then headed to a park where we were able to get a ton of different looks with flowers and a beautiful willow tree. When I saw that Avery played the guitar on her information sheet, I was super excited to incorporate it into some of her photos – and I LOVE the way that every one of the images came out!! If Avery was a rockstar, she would definitely have a ton of photo options for her album cover!!! After we left the park, we headed down to the river at sunset and experimented with some lighting and those are my favorite images from the shoot.
Here is a little about what Avery had to say about her session with Moxie: “From the very first emails discussing locations and outfits to receiving the final photographs, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Karen’s insight and expertise in pairing outfits with locations were spot on. Her photography skills were truly impressive, as she captured breathtaking moments through a combination of well-chosen locations, creative poses, and skillful use of lighting. The entire process felt seamless and enjoyable, and the final images exceeded all of our expectations. We initially weren’t entirely sure what kind of location or overall vibe we wanted for the shoot, but Karen was instrumental in helping us narrow down our options. She guided us through different styles and themes and we ultimately decided on an urban setting to give the photos a modern and dynamic feel, while also incorporating a natural backdrop for added variety and contrast. It was Karen’s creative suggestion to include the guitar, which brought a personal and passionate element to the shoot. This thoughtful touch truly elevated the experience and made the final images even more meaningful. My favorite part of the Moxie Senior Experience was how effortlessly Karen made me feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. Her warm and encouraging character helped me relax, allowing my true personality to shine through in every shot. Because of this approach, she was able to capture the very best of me, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Karen has an incredible talent for creating an environment that feels natural and fun, which made the session an enjoyable and memorable experience. From the moment we started, she made me feel completely at ease. Whether it was choosing the perfect locations, offering helpful suggestions for poses, or capturing those candid moments, she went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. I love Moxie Design because Karen’s creativity, professionalism, and ability to capture genuine moments make every photo unique and truly special.”
One piece of advice that Avery has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “One piece of advice I have for other seniors getting their photos taken is to embrace the process and don’t be afraid to try new things. Step out of your comfort zone and experiment with unique poses and meaningful props.” <– Amazing advice, Avery!!
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “memorable.”
Thank you so much for the kind words, Avery, and for letting us be a part of your senior year!! Happy early graduation!!

Meet Caleb. We met up with Caleb and his awesome mom, Jennifer, last fall for his senior session. We were able to kick off his shoot at a beautiful golf course and were able to shoot in and around the clubhouse, which offered a ton of really amazing locations. Shout out to Jennifer for the malted milk ball surprise that she shared with Madeline and I – so delicious!! After leaving the club, we headed to the river where we were able to shoot at a location that was meaningful to Caleb, which I loved. We got some super amazing shots with his car and then ended the night at the PVHS pool. I wanted to make sure we got an action shot of Caleb diving off of the block and he nailed it on his first take!! So cool to see him in the pool, completely in his element. Jennifer and Caleb were so much fun to work with and I love that his final gallery has so much variety!
Here is a little about what Caleb had to say about his session with Moxie: “My session with Moxie Design was a memorable and great experience. I was comfortable while taking the photos and I felt that if I didn’t know what to do, Karen would help me and ensure that I would have a great outcome. Karen really knows what she is doing and talking about and will ensure that your photos are some of the best around. My biggest fear was that it was going to take too long and that they wouldn’t look the best. My favorite part was going to all the places we got to shoot at and the versatility of the experience. I also liked how Karen had so many ideas for pictures and could really come up with things on the spot which turned out amazing. My favorite photo was the one with me looking at my “watch” in the doorway in the classy outfit or the one of me diving off the blocks. One of the most memorable parts of my session was going to take photos at some of my favorite places. I love Moxie Design because they have the best pictures around.”
One piece of advice that Caleb has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Some advice I would give other seniors getting their photos done is to come into it with an open mind, I didn’t really want to get mine done, but they turned out amazing and I couldn’t have asked for any better.”
If he could describe his overall senior session experience in one word, he would choose “Encapsulating” <– I love that, Caleb!!

Meet Olivia. This Sherrard supermodel and I have gotten the chance to work together lots of times over the past year as she was a part of our Moxie model team for the Class of 2025! Olivia has a beautiful smile and the most gorgeous eyes!! Working with her for the first time at our editorial prom shoot last year was like working with someone who had just stepped off of the red carpet. Not only is she absolutely stunning, but she is super sweet and we have had a lot of fun together. During her main session, we started out at an urban setting and it worked perfectly with her outfits. Then we headed to a park area that had tons of different background options. I knew that Olivia wanted to end her session in the water at sunset, but the river was in a flood stage. We found an area that we could still have access and while we were taking some photos, a huge beaver shot up out of the water and Emma and I had no idea what it was at first and I remember screaming because it was so unexpected!! What a funny memory to have happen during Olivia’s big senior session day!!
Here is a little about what Olivia had to say about her session with Moxie: “Working with Moxie was great!! At first I was very nervous that I would be uncomfortable, but once I got there Karen was so welcoming! She helped me with poses and hyped me up the whole way through! Karen and her team had the best energy that made me feel very confident! I didn’t have a certain look in mind for the shoot, since all of my outfits were pretty different. However, even with that Karen made sure to pick backgrounds based on those looks! They all matched perfectly! I was worried I would be uncomfortable and not very confident. I get pretty anxious trying new things. After the first five minutes Karen made me feel confident in both my looks, and trying poses usually out of my comfort zone! The whole photo shoot experience was phenomenal. My overall favorite part was getting my hair and makeup done! This also helped my confidence level. The girls doing my makeup hyped up Moxie during our short interactions making me super excited to do my first shoot! My favorite picture is the one of me looking over my shoulder in my long colorful dress. It has so much dimension with the grass popping out and the background was perfect. One funny experience was when a beaver came out of the water right next to me! I also loved when Karen gave me snacks and a drink! She really pays attention to who she’s photographing and makes an instant connection. I definitely recommend working with Moxie! It is an experience you’ll never forget! I love Moxie Design because my experience with moxie far exceeded my expectations!”
One piece of advice that * has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Poses that you may find silly in the moment can make the best photos! Be confident in what you’re doing and it will show through the pictures!”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose “phenomenal.”
Thank you for being on the Moxie model team, Olivia! I have loved getting to know you over the past year!! xoxo,
Karen

Meet Aubrey. We met up with this Moline senior last fall for her senior session and from the very first test shot that I took, I was absolutely blown away. Aubrey is absolutely gorgeous and so sweet – we had a blast during her session! Her smile is amazing and her serious face was giving100% supermodel!! I loved the variety of her wardrobe looks – and the details like her blue sneakers that made her outfits pop. We were able to travel to a few locations that were all close together, so we got the best of both worlds – a cool urban / modern downtown area as well as a park with a stream that we were able to get into. The first teaser photo that I put up of Aubrey was published in Senior Szn Magazine, which is SO exciting!!
Here is a little about what Aubrey had to say about her session with Moxie: “My experience with Moxie was absolutely amazing. I was nervous going into the shoot about if I would be able to relax and make the photos look natural. As soon as I met Karen she made me feel so welcoming and was making me laugh to help me loosen up. Overall this experience was a 10/10. I was going for a nature and downtown look and Karen totally hit that straight on! My favorite part was how lighthearted and comfortable Karen made me feel and made me feel stunning! My favorite photo from the shoot was down in the stream because the lighting was perfect and I felt amazing. I highly recommend going to Moxie for your senior session they were great and will make you feel confident and comfortable.”
