Meet Cara.

I first got to know Cara’s family when I photographed her sister, so it was especially meaningful to have her join the Moxie Model Team this year. One of my favorite parts of her sessions was incorporating her family’s property—the cows, baby goats, and beautiful rural setting made for such a personal and memorable backdrop. Being a part of the Moxie model team is about so much more than photos – it’s about the experience. Here is what Cara had to say about it in her own words:

“It was amazing, I really enjoyed being able to be myself and get to try new things when being photographed. I was going for a more simple theme and just trying to be myself when taking photos. My biggest fear was that I wasn’t going to step out of my comfort zone and not try new things. With their help, I was able to step out of my comfort zone and try new things, that they suggested. I was really happy with trying the new looks. My favorite part of working with Karen was getting to do the fall photos and meeting new people. I really loved how I look in the fall photos of me wearing the hat smiling. The most memorable part of working with the Moxie team was Madeline trying to make me laugh, I really loved how you guys just were so kind and lovely to work with. Working with Karen is going to be one of the most memorable things to do, and you get to try new things! When going into it I was nervous and now I’m so glad that I got to be apart of this experience. It was such and enjoyable experience to be given the opportunity to try. I love Moxie Design because being able to get to work with Karen was such a memorable experience. She made everything lovely and energetic!”

One piece of advice that Cara has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “Step out of your comfort zone even if it seems crazy”

If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, she would choose  “memorable.”
