Meet Paige.
Where do I begin with this gorgeous girl?
We met up with Paige just as we did with all of our Class of ’26 Moxie models last winter at our prom session at the Blackhawk Hotel. Paige walked in looking straight out the pages of Vogue magazine! Her dress was this beautiful and romantic flowy gown and she knew all of her angles and was so at ease in front of the camera. The first shots that I ever took of her were featured by the designer of her dress – Andrea and Leo Couture!! What an incredible moment!! I was super excited to get her information sheet back about her main session – Paige made it clear that she was looking to capture a bold vibe, accessorizing her looks from head to toe, which I adored. For her main session, we ended the night with her horse at Marbrit Meadows, which Emma and I absolutely loved – we had a blast! We got to meet so many animals and we laughed so hard that I remember my face actually hurt. Working with animals can be hard because they don’t respond as people do to “look over here, chin down, etc.” and we were all jumping, screaming, hollering, clapping our hands in the air to get him to look in the right places – it was a hoot! At sunset, I had brought this hot pink floral swag with me and asked if she would mind taking a few shots covered in flowers. That photo ended up being internationally featured too – Paige just has that X factor and it seems as though every photo I share of her gets republished, which is the biggest compliment ever!! Working with Paige and her awesome mom and sister over the past year has been so much fun and her senior pictures definitely feel more high fashion than high school. We were able to push the editorial vibe of her sessions, which helped her to build a strong modeling portfolio. You are such a wonderful soul, Paige, and I have loved getting to know you!
Here is a little about what Paige had to say about her time with us:
“My overall senior photo experience was an absolute blast—one of those days I know I’ll always look back on with a smile. It was fun and full of little moments that turned into unforgettable memories. Between the laughter, the behind-the-scenes craziness, and the creative ideas we brought to life, the whole experience felt bigger than just taking pictures. And when I finally saw the photos… wow. They were amazing—way beyond anything I imagined. Seeing myself captured with that much confidence and personality honestly gave me a whole new boost of self-belief. It even helped me decide to pursue a future in modeling. That shoot didn’t just give me beautiful images—it showed me what I’m capable of. For my photo shoot, I was going for a look that was completely unique and totally outside the box. I didn’t want the typical, cookie-cutter senior photos—I wanted something that felt bold, creative, and unmistakably me. I wanted shots that stood out, the kind that make you stop and look twice because they’re different in the best way. Whether it was the outfits, the locations, or the vibe, I leaned into my own style and pushed for something that wasn’t afraid to break the usual “rules.” My goal was to create photos that didn’t just capture what I looked like, but captured my personality, my vision, and the way I love to do things just a little differently. My biggest worry going into the photo shoot was looking completely awkward—like full-on “what do I do with my hands?” awkward. I had visions of myself standing there with a stiff smile, weird angles, and poses that looked way cooler in my head than they ever would in real life. I was convinced the camera would catch every single moment of me overthinking everything. I could practically see the outtakes already: me blinking mid-shot, tripping over air, or striking a pose that screamed help. But honestly, worrying about looking awkward is normal—and once things actually started, I realized half the fun is laughing at yourself anyway. My favorite part of my entire Moxie Senior experience was working with Karen. She kept me on my toes the whole time—in the best possible way. I never knew what she was going to ask me to do next. One minute I was posing normally, and the next I was standing on a ledge in stiletto boots, trying not to laugh while still looking cute. And then there were the moments with my horse… My mom and sister were behind the scenes making the most ridiculous noises and waving their arms like crazy people just to get the perfect ear-perk or head tilt. It was hilarious, and honestly unforgettable. Karen knew exactly how to bring out natural moments, even if it meant all of us cracking jokes, laughing too hard, or me looking at her like, “Are you kidding me right now?” Those unexpected directions and all the goofy behind-the-scenes antics made the whole experience feel fun, real, and authentically mine. It wasn’t just a photo shoot—it was a memory I’ll be laughing about for years. My favorite photo was actually from a mini session in the snow. It was cold, I couldn’t feel my fingers or my toes, but the photo was flawless. It is hard to choose a favorite but standing with my back to Karen looking over my shoulder was my favorite! The most memorable part of my photo session was definitely at the barn with my horse. There’s something about being in that space, the sunlight streaming in, and the quiet energy of the barn, that made everything feel so special. Working with my horse was a lot of fun—getting the perfect pose, capturing the right expression, and just sharing that moment. It was a little challenging, hilarious at times, and full of little unexpected moments, but that’s exactly what made it unforgettable. Those photos don’t just show me—they show my connection with my horse and the joy of being exactly where I love to be. Oh my gosh, i absolutely loved my Moxie experience—it was truly amazing! From start to finish, it was so much fun and honestly unforgettable. Karen is incredible, and I never knew what she was going to have me do just to get the perfect shot. There were so many laughs, jokes, and “are you kidding me?” moments, but somehow it all came together perfectly. The photos turned out amazing, and the whole experience honestly made me feel confident and like my best self. I wish you could see it all—it was that good! I love Moxie Design because Karen is amazing, fun and extremely talented!”
If she could describe her overall senior session experience in one word, what would it be? “Epic”
One piece of advice that Paige has for other seniors getting their photos taken? “To the next seniors getting ready for their photo shoots: trust Karen. Seriously—trust her. She is unbelievably talented and somehow always knows exactly what she’s doing, even when you’re thinking, there’s no way this pose is going to look good. It will. It always does. Let yourself relax, have fun, and just enjoy the experience. Laugh at the awkward moments, lean into the unexpected, and don’t be afraid to try something new. The more fun you have, the more your personality shines through—and that’s what makes the photos truly amazing. You’re in the best hands with Karen, so just go for it and make some unforgettable memories!”
Paige – it has been incredible getting to know you and your awesome family over the last year! Don’t forget about us when you’re walking the runways of Milan and Paris!! xoxo
